Yes. Rise & Shine Psychology and Counseling offers virtual therapy sessions to clients across Alberta, alongside in-person sessions at our Edmonton office. Virtual sessions cover the same services as in-person care, including individual, couples, family, and child/teen therapy.

How much does therapy cost at Rise & Shine Psychology and Counseling?

Standard sessions are $220 per hour. Motor vehicle accident (MVA) counselling is $235 per hour. We also offer an Affordable Option Program with reduced rates for clients facing financial or benefits barriers, and new clients receive 50% off their first session, a low-pressure way to meet your therapist and see if it's the right fit.

Does Alberta Health Care or my insurance cover therapy?

Alberta Health Care (AHCIP) does not typically cover psychology or counselling services provided outside hospital or physician settings. Many extended health and benefits plans do cover registered psychologists, social workers, and counsellors - check your specific plan for details. We offer direct billing to many insurance providers to make this easier.
