At Rise & Shine Psychology & Counseling, we believe that understanding the cost of therapy should be straightforward. We offer transparent session rates, direct billing to participating insurance plans, and an Affordable Options Plan for clients who need additional financial flexibility.

Your first standard 50-minute session is 50% off ($110). Please contact us about introductory pricing for 80-minute or specialized sessions. MVA coverage and payment arrangements depend on the applicable insurer and claim.
Affordable Options Plan
We understand that the cost of counselling can be a barrier. Our Affordable Options Plan provides tiered fee options based on an assessment of your circumstances. To be considered, please contact our team to request an application. Once your completed application has been reviewed, we will advise you of your eligibility and applicable fee tier. Reduced fees are not guaranteed and depend on the outcome of the assessment.

Will my insurance cover my therapist?
Being listed as a direct-billing provider does not guarantee that your sessions are covered. Eligibility depends on your individual benefits plan, the service provided, and your clinician’s professional credentials and registration status. Plans may recognize Registered Social Workers (RSW, including those with an MSW), Canadian Certified Counsellors (CCC), Registered Psychologists, and Provisional Psychologists differently. Some plans exclude certain designations or require specific conditions to be met.
Before your appointment, please confirm with your insurance provider that your plan covers services delivered by your specific clinician and professional designation. Direct billing may not be available for every plan or clinician. You are responsible for any amount your insurer does not pay.
